External communications - How to use instagram dm

Note: For the message to be delivered successfully, the contact must have previously messaged a connected Instagram page within the past 24 hours before reaching this event.

1. Click "Marketing"

2. Click "workflows"

3. Click "Create Workflow"

4. Click "Continue"

5. Click "Add your first action"

6. Select "Instagram DM"

This action allows you to send Instagram Direct Messages (DMs) to the contact.

7. Select "Templates"

Click on this field to select from available Instagram DM templates.

8. Input "Message"

If you are not using the SMS templates, enter the body of the message here.

9. Click "Custom values"

10. Click "Add Attachments"

Attach files by clicking on this icon.

11. Click to "Add Files Through URL"

Add files through a URL by entering the URL in the field and clicking "+Add".

12. Click "Save"
